DUPONT CIRCLE: California Wine Fundraiser at the Riggsby - This November

For the month of November, Chef Michael Schlow’s restaurant, The Riggsby, in the Kimpton Carlyle Hotel, will raise money for Northern California families whose livelihood was destroyed during the state’s recent fires. The restaurant will exclusively sell California wines by the glass with 10% of sales going to the North Bay Fire Relief Fund, an organization helping those in the region who lost everything through the devastation.

The Riggsby’s by the glass wine list for November, which can be found here, will feature sparkling, white, rosé, red and Coravin selections and will include wines from three wineries that were directly impacted, like a Chenin Blanc from Leo Steen and a Sauvignon Blanc from Eric Kent. Family owned VinRoc winery in Napa Valley was completely destroyed by the fires and glasses of their RTW (red table wine) will be available from the “Daily Coravin Selection” for $30 a glass. Glass prices otherwise range from $12-$25.
The Riggsby is located within the Kimpton Carlyle Hotel at
1731 New Hampshire Avenue, NW,
The special California by the glass wine list will be available during brunch, lunch and dinner service.
