RAMW: Summer Restaurant Week Suggestion #14: Bombay Club, Downtown - August 14 through 27


The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington will host Summer Restaurant Week, August 14-20, inviting participating restaurants to offer three-course lunches for $22 and three-course dinners for $35, excluding tax and gratuity at each location. This bi-annual event invites diners to experience Washington’s top restaurants at an affordable price point.

For an elegant Restaurant Week experience, look no further than The Bombay Club, located at 815 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 20006, just steps away from the White House. Guests can anticipate delicious, regional Indian fare prepared by Executive Chef Nilesh Singhvi with several appetizer options including Mango Shrimp with ginger, cilantro and yogurt; Duck Kebab with chilies, ginger and nutmeg; Corn – Baingan Chaat with eggplant, onion, tomato and yogurt, or the Calamari Ularthu with fennel, curry leaf, black pepper and anise. Next, you will choose their entrée, which is served with rice and naan. Options include Pork Chop Jardaloo with onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, apricot and straw potatoes; Mango Fish Curry with grouper, coconut and mustard; Guchhi Murg with chicken, morels, yogurt, almond and cardamom, as well as Kashmiri Lamb with cardamom, fennel and saffron. Dessert options include Carrot Halwa with carrot, milk and almond; Mango Kulfi with Indian ice cream; Ginger Vanilla Crème Brûlée; Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding with hazelnut ice Cream, and Berry Shrikhand with yogurt, blueberry, raspberry and cardamom

Bombay Club’s Restaurant Week menu will be available August 14-27. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. and Sunday, from 5:30 PM to 9:30 p.m.
