ALEXANDRIA: French Restaurant Week July 11-16 at Bastille

While Bastille Day is July 14th. Parisian native Chef Christophe Poteaux, who, along with his wife Chef Michelle Poteaux has been serving French-inspired cuisine at Bastille restaurant in Old Town Alexandria, feel that celebration should not just last one day. There’s Summer and Winter Restaurant Week. For the week of July 11- 16, the Chefs Poteaux have declared it French Restaurant Week at Bastille. All week long, the restaurant will offer a three-course $35 prix fixe dinner of French classics to celebrate French Independence Day--Liberté, égalité, fraternité!
The meal includes a choice of starters such as soupe du jour; escargots provencales; melon, concombres et Feta or salade “Niçoise” followed by a choice of entrée with such selections as moules frites; grillade de poisson, Chermoula; confit de poulet à la Basquaise; onglet à l’échalotte; grillades d’Agneau or risotto au tomates et fenouil.

Of course no French meal would be complete without dessert. Chef Michelle’s delicious dessert options include a choice of coupe glacée; crème brulee; Profiteroles, Tarte au Citron or Bavarois vanille et framboises. Many items on the menu are gluten-free.

Bastille’s regular menu will be available all week as well.
