Espita Mezcaleria, the Southern Mexican-inspired restaurant located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC, is excited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by offering a limited release Chamomile Saison, which was created in partnership with 3 Stars Brewing Company.
“We always wanted to incorporate Mexican ingredients into a beer,” says Beverage Director Megan Barnes.  “We decided to partner with 3 Stars because we've carried their products since day one, and we’re big fans of their beer.  Together we brainstormed different flavor combinations: hibiscus, guajillo peppers and lime, but none of them were just right.  In the end, we decided to infuse their 3 Stars Peppercorn Saison with chamomile, which is plentiful throughout Mexico, and the result is a crisp, refreshing beer with a beautiful floral note on the back end.”
This limited edition collaboration will only be available at Espita Mezcaleria.  The Chamomile Saison will be available for a $1 off the suggested retail price on Friday, May 5th.

Additionally, Kaj Hackinen, founder of Black Bar Project, which imports Nuestra Soledad, El Jolgorio and Agave de Cortés brands of mezcal (http://www.giffardusa.com), will be on hand as a special “Guest Mezcalier”.  Hackinen will be on hand to discuss mezcal and customize mezcal flights for Espita’s guests in the bar and dining room throughout the evening.

Friday, May 5th, exclusively during dinner service, from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Espita Mezcaleria is located at
1250 9th Street, NW
