MOSAIC DISTRICT: Alta Strada Mosaic Launches Brunch this Weekend

Alta Strada Mosaic, Chef Michael Schlow’s latest outpost in Fairfax, Virginia will begin offering brunch this weekend. The menu, featuring additions unique to the Virginia location will include a new “Amatriciana” Burger with pancetta, onions, fontina, tomato mayo and the option to add an egg, Nutella French Toast with bananas and toasted hazelnuts and a Bucatini Carbonara. Cocktails include Mimosas, Bellinis, Bloody Marys and a Reviver Spritz for $9.

Weekend brunch will be served Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

• Egg White Frittata: asparagus, mushroom, walnut pesto $14
• Short Rib Hash: chili hollandaise, arugula salad $14
• A.S. Margherita: tomato, mozzarella, fresh basil $15
• Nutella French Toast: bananas and toasted hazelnuts $15
• Bucatini Carbonara: (How Italians get their bacon and eggs) $14
• Soft Scrambled Eggs: chicken sausage, crispy potatoes $14
• Shrimp Caesar Salad: baby romaine, croutons, Parmigiano $16
• “Antipasti” Salad with all the good stuff $14
• Eggplant Parm Sandwich: crispy eggplant, creamy mozzarella $13
• “Amatriciana” Burger: pancetta, onions, fontina, tomato mayo $15 (add a fried egg for $2)
• Crispy Chicken Sandwich: spicy slaw $13
• Bacon, Egg and Cheese pizza $16
• Spaghetti: San Marzano tomatoes, basil, parm $15
