CITYCENTERDC: New at RareSweets - Elephant & Donkey Cookies and Seasonal Cakes

Meredith Tomason, Pastry Chef and owner of RareSweets in CityCenterDC has some seasonal additions to her menu, including chocolate and pear caramel mini cakes; mini pumpkin bundt cakes; pear cardamom coffee cake; fall apple spice cake and a cranberry orange blossom cake: a vanilla cake with house-made cranberry compote and vanilla orange blossom icing.

With election season in full swing, Chef Tomason will also offer special edition election cookies. Beginning today, RareSweets will sell either elephant or donkey shaped shortbread cookies with royal icing for $3 each. Another option for a write-in ballot with edible markers is available for $4 each.
