Beginning today at 11:30AM for lunch service, recently opened Japanese chicken ramen eatery Bantam King  based in Chinatown just around the corner from older culinary sibling Daikaya, will be debuting their new fried chicken 'BK Chicken Plate'.

Priced at $12, the new 'BK Chicken Plate' includes one piece - diners choice - of light or dark meat, brined for 12 hours, battered and fried, dunked in a savory soy honey dashi bath, then drizzled with GGS oil (ginger, garlic, scallion, and Serrano chilies), and served alongside a bowl of rice topped with chicken drippings, as well as a bowl of hot chicken soup.

Following it's opening this summer in July, Chef Katsuya Fukushima and teams popular fried chicken was initially only available during dinner service, but as diners began to catch wind of the tasty savory and fried menu item, the team at Bantam King began receiving a stream of requests from fried chicken fans to offer it during lunch service as well.

Bantam King is Located at
501 G St NW, Washington, DC 20003
