CHEVY CHASE: Macon Bistro & Larder Debuts A New “Yappy Hour” For Canines and Humans Alike

Macon Bistro & Larder, the French and Southern-inspired bistro in Chevy Chase, located at 5520 Connecticut Ave., NW, has debuted a new “Yappy Hour” for pups and their human companions, available now through September 3rd, every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., exclusively on the front outdoor patio. Guests and their dogs can cool off with three drool-worthy frozen popsicles created by dog lovers, Macon’s General Manager Andra 'AJ' Johnson and Owner/Executive Chef Tony Brown. The restaurant will also offer $6 house red and white wine, $6 beer, and complimentary dog treats for Yappy Hour. Popsicles range in price from $3 for the canine variety to $7 for the adult-friendly flavors.
Dog-friendly popsicles are made with chicken or beef broth, white peaches, strawberries, blueberries, and a stalk of asparagus as the stick. Adult-friendly popsicles are created with Smooth Ambler Greenbrier gin, strawberries, blueberries, white Peaches, and orange Juice, and child-friendly popsicles are made with strawberries, blueberries, and orange juice.
AJ Johnson is also introducing at Catalonia Freeze,Abadal Rosat Spanish rose, Bauchant orange liqueur, diced strawberries, whole raspberries, lemon juice, honey, mint, blended on ice and served in a mason jar with a mint garnish. This luscious seasonal newcomer is priced at $14.

This happens every Saturday beginning June 27th through September 3rd from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
