On Monday, March 28th, Espita Mezcaleria, the newly opened Southern Mexican-inspired restaurant located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC will kick off their new monthly “Taco Takeover” series.  Taco fans are encouraged to stop by the restaurant on the last Monday of each month to sample specialty creations from guest chefs hailing from Washington, DC and New York City.  Each month a different chef will showcase their own variation incorporating the restaurant’s hand-pressed tortillas made from freshly ground masa.  First up, Chef/Owner Kwame Onwuachi of the upcoming restaurant, The Shaw Bijou, will offer a posole braised smoked ham hock with avocado and black lime crema, chicharrón and havas crumble taco.
