PENN QTR: Late Night at Daikaya Continues with 'Oktoberfest' at Daikaya Izakaya on Saturday, October 10th, Midnight to Last Call

On Saturday, October 10th from midnight until last call, Daikaya Izakaya continues its 'Late Night at Daikaya' Saturday series, this time with 'Oktoberfest' offering up a German-infused late night menu with a Daikaya twist for weekend warriors, as well as an assortment of German-style bier specials and cocktails from resident mixologist Jamie MacBain.
Open to the public, Chef Fukushima will be serving up an assortment of German-inspired eats with a Daikaya twist including Bier Cheese and Pretzel, Sweetbread Schnitzel with a Button Mushroom Sauce, Potato Pancakes with Fresh Apple Puree and Sour Cream, Sausages with a Selection of Mustard's, to highlight a few, and resident mixologist Jamie MacBain and team will be running the bar at the Izakaya slinging an assortment of Oktoberfest-inspired brews and cocktails while DJ Smudge provides beats throughout the evening. Daikaya will also be selling custom logo'ed glass beer steins priced at $6 per stein, of which can be filled up throughout the evening with either Sapporo for $4, or Asahi for $6. All additional featured biers will be priced at $7.

  • Potato pancake, fresh apple purée and sour cream
  • Selection of Traditional Salads: Cucumber-dill, Carrot-raisin, and Tomato-onion
  • Bier Cheese & pretzel
  • Black Forest ham and "red eye gravy"
  • Sweetbread schnitzel with button mushroom sauce
  • Marinated herring with sour cream, apples and onion
  • Spezi soft serveFrench fries with curry mayo
  • Sausages and mustard's
  • Schweinshaxe - Bavarian Pork knuckles with sauerkraut

Located on the 2nd floor - Daikaya’s izakaya is a modern and eclectic space that serves as Chef Katsuya and teams culinary playground boasting a full bar and rustic dining room where food and drink are intended to be enjoyed seamlessly. 'Late Night at Daikaya' occurs on selected Saturday's each month and allows Chef Fukushima and team the opportunity to create and share exciting and interactive culinary collaborations and/or themed culinary-driven events.
