Black's Bar & Kitchen Hosts Patio Kickoff Party Featuring Barren Island ‘Ugly Oysters,’ BBQ Whole-Roasted Pig and Summer Fixings, Beer from Maryland’s Jailbreak Brewing Co.

Black’s Bar & Kitchen in Bethesda will celebrate the start of the summer season and the opening of their patio with an al fresco pig roast on Saturday, May 30th, 2015. The event, set up on the outdoor patio, will offer guests Barren Island Oyster Company’s “Ugly Oysters” prepared three ways – raw on the half shell, grilled with lime barbecue butter, and etouffĂ©e style. Additionally, the restaurant will roast an ethically raised Berkabaw pig from Autumn Olive Farms in Virginia, served with sour orange rum mojo and chimichurri, Louisiana steamed and spiced crawfish, and seasonal fixings such as cole slaw, grilled vegetables and cornbread. Two beers, "Feed the Monkey" Hefeweizen, and "The Infinite” from Laurel, Md.’s Jailbreak Brewing Company will be served.

Tickets to the party can be purchased for $45 per person via https://brgevents.wufoo.com/forms/patio-kickoff-party/. All ticket purchases include all you can enjoy oysters and beer for the duration of the three-hour event.
