Celebrate Valentine's at Republic (Tacoma) Event, Then Celebrate Anti-Valentine's

Republic Restaurant, in Tacoma, will celebrate Valentine's Day with live music during dinner, and a post-dinner "Anti-Valentine's Day" concert featuring punk rock band, Booze Riot. 
On February 14, the typically no-reservations dining room will serve its regular menu, but will accept dinner reservations between 5:00 and 9:30 p.m. A live and intimate musical performance will be provided by award-winning electronic "Gypsy jazz" singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mary Alouette, who has headlined at venues like the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Blues Alley, and Carnegie Hall. 

Valentine's Day dinner reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 301.270.3000.

An after-dinner, "Anti-Valentine's Day" punk rock party gets started at 10:00 p.m. featuring punk rock bands:

and Caustic Casanova


Bar manager, Brett Robison, will be mixing up three anti-Valentine's Day cocktails including;
  • Booze Riot (in honor of the night's headline band) made with Copper Fox Rye Whiskey, Amaro Averna and sherry;  
  • Fascist Pig (a variation of the restaurant's well-known Fascist Killer) made with Pig's Nose Blended Scotch Whisky, Amaro Ramazzotti, green chartreuse, basil and garnished with a flamed orange peel 
  • My Girlfriend's Girlfriend (inspired by Type O Negative, a goth metal band from the 90’s) made with Hennessy, Soliterre Dessert Wine, Amaro Montenegro and spied lemon juice – a house-made mix of lemon juice steeped in rosemary and anise. 
All drinks will be $12 each, and the bar will also serve it's popular Bingers - beer and shot combinations for $5.
