ADMO: Hierarchy Announces First Anniversary Showcase “Hustle" and New Exhibition "Love"

Some exciting news to share from Hierarchy and the No Kings Collective. Hierarchy, the arts space in Adams Morgan founded by the No Kings Collective and the Popal Group, will celebrate its first anniversary with a special design-oriented showcase at the gallery. The anniversary celebration will kick-off on Friday, January 30th 7 to 11 p.m.

After celebrating their 5 year anniversary this past year, No Kings Collective is excited to round out their first successful year of operating a gallery space. Hierarchy has allowed the duo the freedom to work with other artists, designers, chefs, programmers (you name it!) in a way that their pop-up events haven't allowed in the past. Following the anniversary showcase and event, Hierarchy will welcome Baltimore-based contemporary artist and muralist Michael Owen to the gallery for the first solo show of the year, opening Friday, February 13th.

Gallery founders No Kings Collective celebrate a year of hustle and announce spring exhibition line-up

Hierarchy celebrates its first anniversary with “Hustle” a special week-long design showcase opening Friday, January 30th. In early 2014 the arts group No Kings Collective opened Hierarchy, an experimental art gallery and events space, in partnership with Napoleon Bistro and the Popal Group. “Hustle” celebrates that first year with a design-oriented showcase featuring signature typography, 2D works, multimedia, sculpture and prints, all focusing on the core values of arts and entrepreneurship. Amidst a rocky landscape of gallery and museum closings, Hierarchy's successful first year stands out as a beacon in the arts community in the nation’s capital. “Without the support of the community, we wouldn’t be here, we couldn’t exist. We are proud to do our small part in keeping the arts and the arts community energized in DC, and we will continue that mission of offering flexible exhibition space for budding and established artists into 2015,” says Peter Chang, co-founder of No Kings Collective.
