Logan Circle Community Association to Host 36th Annual Holiday House Tour on December 7, 2014

Neighbors, Art Lovers, Architectural Enthusiasts and Local History Buffs are Invited to Attend this Unique Tour of Traditional and Contemporary Homes in Washington, D.C.’s Historic Logan Circle Neighborhood

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a tradition that spans seven mayors, seven presidents and over 40 feet of snowfall, the Logan Circle Community Association (LCCA) will host its 36th Annual Logan Circle Holiday House Tour on Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Holiday House Tour again will take guests through some of Logan Circle’s most memorable and breathtaking interiors, and will feature a variety of musicians and singers lending holiday cheer, as well as the always-warming and welcoming Wassail Reception at Studio Theatre, the city’s premier venue for contemporary theatre.
“Our tour-goers often tell us ours has become a favorite in D.C., due to its diversity of properties and people, and our commitment to a great mix of architecture, interior design, art and history,” said LCCA President Tim Christensen. “We are especially proud of the Logan Circle Heritage Trail, unveiled last year, and prominently visible along the tour route.”
Advance tickets for the Holiday House Tour are $30 and can be purchased at www.LoganCircle.org. Tickets on the day of the tour are $35.
  • Proceeds from the event will perpetuate LCCA’s longtime mission of improving the quality of life for residents and businesses in the Logan Circle area. Recent enhancements to the neighborhood include the Logan Circle Heritage Trail, mentioned above, a 1.5-mile, self-guided walking tour marked by 15 signs, each with information and photos explaining the neighborhood’s history.
  • Heritage Trail guides will be available at homes along the house tour itinerary.
Guests of the Holiday House Tour will find block after block of 19th-century Victorian residences restored to their original grandeur amid soaring contemporary condominiums, together creating a community unlike any other in Washington, D.C.!
