Two-Day Pop-Up on July 26 & 27; Affogato Tasting on August 8
What: RareSweets, a bakeshop and specialty dessert company opening in downtown’s CityCenterDC development this fall, will host two preview pop-ups this summer at Union Market’s Salt & Sundry on Saturday July 26th and 27th; and an affogato tasting at La Colombe Coffee on Friday, August 8th. Pastry Chef and founder Meredith Tomason will preview a selection of her specialty desserts at the pop-ups, which will include the following:

La Colombe Affogato Pop-Up Friday August 8th, starting at 1:00 pm – while supplies last

Chef Tomason will prepare the Italian specialty, affogato, a cool refreshment for hot August days. Available for $3 each, she will top scoops of her specialty ice creams with La Colombe’s espresso shots. Three ice cream flavors will be available, including milk chocolate cacao nib, crème fraiche and dark caramel.
