Rito Loco (Food Truck) to open Brick & Mortar Burrito Restaurant on Florida Ave NW

Daniel Diaz and Louie Hankins plan to take their successful Food Truck business and open Rito Loco as a brick & mortar burrito restaurant at 606 Florida Avenue NW. in the previous Reese’s Barbershop space.
A great location puts them between Kafe Bohem and the Howard Theater. The lease is signed (October 2013) and the projected opening is sometime in April 2014.
(The banner proclaiming Rito Loco' arrival says "Summer 2014", so don't be disappointed if the April target is not met.) Update 1/13/2014:  Cinco de Mayo opening - See Tweet at end of post
The old Reese's Barbershop at 606 Florida Ave, will be Rito Loco' new restaurant
April 2014 is the target date - but sign says Summer 2014
 Rito Loco won Washington City Papers Food Truck of the Year in 2013 Readers Choice - so expect excellent food and service.

From Food Truck Fiesta;
"Rito Loco offers unique burritos, none of which will contain the normal fillers that take away from the over all flavor. Instead of rice, beans, corn, and lettuce, Rito's are filled with ingredients like pico de gallo, fruit, mint, and a variety of seasoned meats. Three vegetarian items are available, one of which is a FruitRito, that combines a medley of fresh fruit and other items. They will be serving beef, chicken, and pulled rib with contrasting ethnic flavors. The signature component of the Rito is the toasted tortilla and all Rito’s will undergo a flat press procedure before being served."
Another can't wait till they open restaurant......
