Bayou, Washington’s highly-acclaimed New Orleans style restaurant, is gearing up for its Seventh Annual Mardi Gras celebration on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. The celebration begins at 11am and will continue late into the night.

Chef Rusty Holman and team are looking forward to offering guests an authentic taste of New Orleans’ Mardi Gras in the heart of Washington, D.C. Festivities begin at 11am on Fat Tuesday, featuring New Orleans favorites such as jambalaya, assorted po’ boys, hurricanes, and much more.

Live music kicks off on the restaurant’s enclosed and heated front patio with the Capitol Hillbillies, performing from 11am to 3pm. From 5pm to 9pm, Bayou will offer an all-you-can-eat buffet for $25 per person, featuring a wide assortment of Chef Rusty’s famed Cajun cuisine and Mardi Gras King Cake. Masks, beads, doubloons, and other “lagniappe” will fly through the air as the New Orleans-style live music continues late into the evening. Live musical acts include Magnolia Blue with more acts to be named.
